Montours Presbyterian Church is asking you to join the community World Day of Prayer service, Friday, March 2, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer. This year, the women of the WDP Committee of Suriname invite us into a time of worship with the focus on the creation found in Genesis 1, and the theme “All God’s Creation is Very Good.”
With these words as the backdrop, we are invited to learn about life in Suriname, a north eastern country in South America. Their everyday life is weaved into the prayers.
Come. Pray for God’s Creation.
A time for fellowship with light refreshments in the Chapel will follow the service.
Please extend this invitation to your neighbors, congregation, family.
Our Soup and Salad Supper will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00pm. The price of tickets will be $9.00 for adults, $5.00 for children ages 5-12, and children 4 and under eat free.
No hands are empty that serve others
Eager hands is a charitable knitting and crochet group where like-minded needlecrafters gather to share their talents with those in need in the community. We take our name from the Woman of Noble Character of Proverbs 31, who "opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy". In particular, verse13, says, "She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands".
It is the hope of every member of the Eager Hands ministry that the individuals who receive the items we make will not only feel the warmth and comfort from our handmade creations, but will also feel the Love of God through those creations. God has gifted us with It is the hope of every member of the Eager Hands ministry that and it is our mission to share His gifts with those around us.
If you would like to join this ministry, regardless of your knitting or crocheting skills, please contact Pat Tacy (email@example.com)
